Ground, Release, Renew

Settle into time for your self.  You give so much, it is time to fill your well and take care of your body, heart and mind.  Small classes filled with positive encouragement and attentive teaching will empower you to learn about and explore your own strength and potentials in a mindful way.  Leave feeling grounded, relaxed and more able to cope.  Develop deep inner listening to find the depth of posture and experience that is appropriate for your body and energy.  Variations and props will be offered to support different needs and abilities.
Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00 pm

Wise, Strong, Open: Tapping into our innate wisdom, we listen deeply to what this body, heart, mind truly needs in this moment.  Allowing our selves the grace and space to use adaptations and props to support the grounding, opening and strengthening of our bodies.  This creates space to breathe and relax.  Leave feeling stronger, more open, replenished and peaceful. During the summer session this class will utilize chairs as well as floor and standing postures.

Tuesdays, 9:30-11:00 am,

Private Yoga

These one to one sessions are helpful for updating your home practice, addressing specific ailments or health concerns or beginning students that are unsure if they are ready to join a class. These sessions are available at our fully equipped RiverSound Retreat studio on the scenic Grand River or at your home. I am also able to record our session as an mp3 so that you can play it at home on your stereo, computer or ipod.

Private Yoga Class:
$90 for a 90 minute customized class.

Private Yoga Package:  Save $45
$180 for three 60 minute sessions

Intermediate Yoga with Meditation

This moderate class incorporates lying, seated, kneeling and standing postures. Sun salutations will be done with a chair. Explore opening, breathing, stretching and strengthening in the context of mindfulness, community and joy. This class will end with 15 minutes of seated meditation. No meditation experience required.
Yoga mat required. Prerequisite: Introduction to Yoga or previous classes with Jill.

Thursdays 11:05-12:35

Chair Yoga with Floor

When possible, it is important to maintain our ability to get up and down from the floor. We will begin with relaxing postures and breathing while lying on your yoga mat. Gentle warm ups will lead us to standing postures. Chairs can be used to assist getting up from and down to the floor. We’ll use chairs to support our balance with standing postures and end with seated chair postures and relaxation.

Yoga for Relaxation

This class helps you unwind from your day with a focus on relaxation. Classes include warm-ups, standing and floor postures. A moderate class with modifications and choices for deepening poses will be offered.

Mondays, 5:00-6:15 pm

12 weeks. Begins January 6 (no class Feb. 17)

Introduction to Yoga

This class is a gentle introduction to yoga. If you’ve thought of trying yoga but didn’t know where to begin, this is the place. We will be working on the floor (lying and kneeling), with standing postures and with chairs.  Yoga mat required.
