RiverSound Retreat, is located in the center of nature perfect for meditating. Sunlight through the trees, the sound of the rippling river, and birdsong can help to ground and relax you through your mediation.
Breathe in the wisdom of nature that surrounds you as you meditate. You may share your view of the river with herons, osprey, bald eagles and deer.
This space is designed to awaken the awareness of your interconnection to the natural world.

Vipassana Insight Meditation
This on-going drop in meditation group is open to all. No pre-registration required. If you are new to meditation I will offer some guidance during the sitting so you can learn how to practice. There will be a teaching either before or after the sit with time for sharing and questions.
We have chairs, meditation benches and cushions.
Occasionally I am away and the sangha (community) will be taking turns with time keeping and sharing a short reflection before opening to group check-in. Open to drop-ins.
Please arrive a few minutes before 10:00 to settle in.

Mindfulness Meditation for Stress Relief

Life is stressful. Research has shown that mindfulness meditation can assist develop greater capacity for managing stress in our lives. This 8 week group will focus on developing a different relationship to stress with a variety of mindfulness meditation practices as well as through discussion on stress and the impact it has on our lives. Learning how to rest in present moment awareness teaches us how to respond rather than react to this changing life. Mindfulness is a training that you can learn and practice. Some of the benefits of mindfulness meditation are improved sleep, lower blood pressure, fewer worries.
Please bring a journal or notebook to class.
This class will be held at the Victoria Park Seniors Centre (Fergus). Pre-registration is required.
